Music have been my saving grace in some sense. It is my love for music that sparked my interests in artistes, I always wanted to know what was their passion, why did they choose music and how did they know it would work? For those who actually write their own lyrics I often wonder what was the inspiration behind it and how painful was the process in baring their soul and hoping to make a living after it.

If you are reading this let me warn you now I am dyslexic so no matter how many times I go over this there will be many errors. lol I’m so sorry to the english snubs and professors of the internet. No really I AM! Hopefully you stay long enough to read what I have to say. Ok let’s get back to the music saving me. I was thinking the other day how music literally changed my life and gave me a career path. I know what you thinking she must be a singer or something.. Nope.. I wish though. lol I wish i had a voice like Tessanne Chin, Alaine, Marcia Griffith or even Etana. But unfortunately I don’t, so I opted for interviewing and sharing their music with my listeners.

I was blessed enough to enter the media world in an informal way. I must say Roots 96.1FM is the best radio station for persons who have an interest in any aspect of media but doesn’t have a degree in communications at the moment. To be frank I don’t have a degree in anything as yet but you can call me the queen of short courses and workshops.. lord lol this is for a whole other blog. Anyways a huge thank you to Roots for given me so many years of experience and allowing me to fulfil so many of my dreams. Because of music Roots 96.1FM exist, Because of music and support I was able to start my business Queen Jo Jo Promotions which is all about upcoming talents, Because of music I was able to produced my own radio show “Fresh Off the Block” which was all about upcoming talent as well” Because of music I am producing my first Youtube series “The Music Corner” this series will focus on the musical Journey of upcoming artiste as well as established well season in the game for years artists.

So you see music is not just about lights, camera, action and mic. It is away of life. It can be the pathway to your success, it definitely is to mine.
